The chairman of the chieftaincy council of Arewa community Alimosho local government, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, has urged commercial motorcyclists of northern extraction in Lagos to as a matter of necessity key in to the latest upgrade in the Lagos state transport sector tagged First and Last Mile (FLM) Buses.

Addressing Representative stakeholders and opinion leaders of the Arewa Okada riders in an all important meeting, he convened in his palace today, the royal father, maintained that, the realities of the current times keep pointing to the inevitablity of a new turn, thus, the first persons to adapt to the realities, stand the best chances to move ahead.

Much as I understand and accept the fact that humans naturally abhor change, I urge you all to accept the fact that, life is continually dynamic and will not be anything different this time; all of you should begin to devise means through which you will become full time participators and beneficiaries of the new scheme, he emphasized.

Prevailing statistics and intelligence continue to reveal a worrying trend and threat to the security of lives and property and no responsible government will tarry on such a premium.

I am using this medium to beseech the Lagos state government’s full consideration and inclusiveness for the Arewa riders as been demonstrated by the Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu’s led government across other sectors.

The royal father who is the Sarki overall of Alimosho local government implored his community to remain positive and never be misled to forment trouble under any guise and should rather explore the potentials and opportunities embedded in the FLM BUSES SCHEME
