A week to Lagos councils’ APC primaries for the chairmanship and councillorship elections, a political czar and last minutes strategist, Hon. Abayomi Omisore, who was the immediate past Secretary to Amuwo Odofin Local Government, has called on all youths in the area to shun restivenes, violence and comport themselves during and after the forth coming primaries in the local government.
Hon. Omisore who addressed some youths in his Fetac residence yesterday gave this warning, given a background of a security report that some politicians have perfected plans to recruit some youths as armed thugs to create mayhem at the venues of the primaries and to take some measures of attacks on party leaders and members during and the primaries election of the ruling party in the local government, if the primaries election does not favour them.
The Ile – Ife born politician advised the youths who he called the leaders of today to always remember the sons and daughters of whom they are and should not allow themselves to be used as scapegoats and later abandoned persons after the election.
He hinted the youths in his local government of the preparedness of the security officials to curb any form of violence or brigande that may occur at the venues of the primaries or within the local government, and assuring that anyone who allows him or herself to be used as bandit will face the full wrath of law.
He assured all party faithfuls in the local government to come out in their thousands without any fear or any form of intimidation to re – elect Engineer Dr Valentine Buraimoh, the Executive Chairman of the local government for a second term, using their APC membership cards.
He harped on the peaceful conduct of the primaries in Amuwo Odofin and encouraged the youths to protect their territories against external Intruders as Amuwo youths are always known to be peaceful.
