Amuwo council chairman media aide cautions party members on unconfirmed election outcomes.

The Special Adviser on Media to the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, Comrade Kolawole Folorunso, has cautioned some party members raising unfounded hopes and giving false predictions of the outcome of the chairmanship and councillorship of the All Progressive’s Congress primaries election that took place on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in all the 20 local governments and the 37 local council development areas across Lagos State.

Speaking from the Lagos State Secretariat of the All Progressive’s Congress, Acme Road, Ogba, Lagos, Comrade Folorunso urged the generality of the people of Amuwo Odofin to disregard political permutations and predictions indicating the outcome of the primaries election in its entirety.

The media aide noted that so many social media platforms in the local government have been awashed with frivolous and ‘conjured’ election results predicted from the political headquarters of some aspirants in the local government.

He appealed to all party faithfuls and political aspirants, who partook in the keenly contested primaries which was conducted under a peaceful, free and fair atmosphere in the presence of the security operatives and electoral officers, to maintain party discipline and be patient as the returning officers from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission are prepared to officially announce the results of the primaries any moment from now.

Folorunso said that formulating election results where none exists will aggravate tension and confusion against the norms which Amuwo people are known to be cordial, co-ordinated and composed on approaching issues.

He sued for peace , harmony and unity in the local government as the results will be announced in no distant time to necessitate the official flagg off of the campaign.

He concluded that the list of the finally approved candidates for the election will be released to the media sooner.
