The Managing Director of Boundless Multi-Services Solution Nigeria Limited, Oti Jonathan Idowu on Thursday received an award of excellence from the Young Media Practitioners of Nigeria, YOMPON, for his contribution to the development of the country.
Oti was honoured with the pacesetter award for his impact on youths.
The award which was presented at his office in Lagos witnessed top executive members of YOMPON paying a courtesy visit to the ICT expert.
At the award, the National President of the YOMPON, Comrade Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji charged media professionals to beam their searchlight on the rural communities by projecting their basic needs to the government.
Ogunsiji who lamented the poor media coverage of the rural areas, charged journalists to engage in community journalism by bringing government to the doorstep of the common man through their sensitization reportage.
In his acceptance speech, the real estate investor described the award as an encouragement to do more.
Oti however charged the youth to take over leadership of the country so as to take Nigeria to the desired destination.
He expressed readiness to collaborate with YOMPON.
He added, “It is the youths that are going to be taking over the space of the leadership of this country.
“I appreciate YOMPON for deeming it fit, another thing is this, as a business man that is into logistics in real estate, agro business and all that, we need more of collaboration of the news media to be able to showcase what we want to give out to the people.
“At this point, we will be doing a lot of collaboration to assist us in promoting our businesses in your various organizations.”
