The Resignation Of Comr Chuma And The End Of ADC.

It came like a shock yesterday when Comr Chuma Odili, the Director General of Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo Campaign Organisation issued a statement, resigning his position as DG of the campaign organization of the ADC governorship candidate for November 6 Anambra state governorship election. Comr Chuma went further to also resign from active politics and said he is going back to his media practice.

To many it was a surprise move but to some of us who are privileged to access information, it was expected. The ADC governorship hopeful built his strength on the possible collapse of APGA. He was into an agreement with ‘Oga’ to move into ADC as an option B should the courts stop the candidature of Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

As at the time Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo moved into ADC, the party already had a candidate. Hon Afam Ezenwafor had almost emerged as the party’s flagbearer before the owner of ADC compromised. A youthful Ezenwafor singlehandedly brought ADC Anambra state into political limelight. He mobilised so many youths into the party and funded all the activities of the party.

But it was unfortunate that immediately after the primaries of APGA and its anticipated fall out, Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo was told to go to ADC and secure the ticket of the party by all means as an alternative plan.

Sadly, ADC compromised and betrayed Hon Afam Ezenwafor who had committed so much resources in building the party. The Owners of ADC did not listen to wise counsel. They were waiting for ‘ego’ Obiano that would be moved into the party to deliver Nze Nwankpo.

But unfortunately, Obiano wants to lose with Soludo and left Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo stranded in ADC. There is no money to prosecute the election in ADC. The owner of said Nze promised to raise about 2 billon naira for campaigns with 30 sienna cars and 326 shuttle buses.

ADC that was vibrant when Hon Afam Ezenwafor was still in the party is now a ghost party with no political activity going on. AFAMATION left to NRM with the soul of ADC – that’s the price of injustice.

Comr Chuma as a smart Ogbono politician saw it coming and had to leave on time. APGA has disappointed Chuma so much despite his contributions to the victory of the party in 2017. They pushed him to ADC and abandoned him there.

November 6 governorship election is coming with surprises.
