The Lagos State House of Assembly Ad-hoc Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, Public Petitions, and officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) have commended the Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman for his proactive leadership, preparedness and readiness for the coming local government elections.
The committee and LASIEC officials stated this when they paid an official visit to Oshodi-Isolo Local Government to assess the level of preparedness for the forthcoming local government elections on Thursday.
The committee, led by Hon. Oladipupo Ajomale, a Member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2 at LAHA, commended the council leadership, under Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, for its proactive measures in ensuring a smooth and well-organized electoral process within the council area.
The delegation was warmly received on behalf of the chairman by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, the Secretary to the local government, Hon. Smart Akinleye, and the Council Manager, Princess Iyabode Ogunyemi.
The team, accompanied by key cabinet members, embarked on an inspection tour of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) office within the local government and were certified with the state of the office as well as the officials’ readiness for the polls ahead.
Expressing satisfaction with the level of preparedness and coordination, Hon. Ajomale and his team applauded the efforts of the local government administration in facilitating a conducive environment for the upcoming elections.
The council Chairman, through his vice, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to supporting all necessary processes that will ensure a free, fair, and credible election in the local government area.
Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, under Otunba Oloyede, remains dedicated to upholding democratic principles and ensuring a seamless electoral process for the benefit of all residents.
