The Baale of Mamu, Ijemo land at Oke Mosan has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, on Wednesday.
Recall that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, as well as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) had taken Tinubu to court over his victory at the February 25 poll.
The community leader in a statement issued on Thursday said the judgment has further cemented his electoral success, establishing his popularity among Nigerians from North to South.
“I send my felicitation to the President and Commander-In-Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on his well-deserved victory at the Election Petition Tribunal today Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
“Having secured the majority votes in the February 25 presidential election and met all the constitutional requirements for victory, today’s judgement has further shown that Nigerians truely voted for Tinubu.
“I celebrate with Tinubu on the landmark judgement delivered yesterday at the Presidential Election Petition. The judgement affirmed President Tinubu’s victory at the 2023 general elections. The judgement represents the voice of Nigerians who voted in the February elections.
He therfore called on Nigerians to bear with the situation the country is currently facing, adding that the president will turn things around for the better.
