Dictatorship can’t make us loose our business and shop ownership at New Auto Spare parts markets Nkpor

It is no more rumour that there are plans been hatched by some unreliable elements to take away ownership of shops belonging to selected members of the New Auto spare part market association Nkpor dubiously.

The action came to limelight when Mr Elisius Ozokwere who was acting in the capacity of the Association Chairman announced during one of its annual meetings that some organizations will be coming down to erect lock up shops on top of the existing ones without prior information to the general body of the association made of Shop Owners/Landlords of New Auto spare parts market Nkpor.

During the announcement,he was immediately cut short of words by concerned members who saw it as a slap and insult to the respected body of New Auto Spare Part market Association, the issue degenerated to a rowdy session, while everyone present at the meeting dispersed angrily.

Few days later, Mr Ozokwere directed members to pay N20,000 each to acquire form for the new shops which is estimated to go for as much as N1,200,000 per shop without the consent of the association and owners. These singular move by the Chairman made the association members disagree with his actions but requested that a building committee be set up, secondly, the association should be properly informed of the plans and proposals brought for such a partnership to work because all hands must be on Deck with transparency.

Sources reveals that the Chairman was adamant and bent on carrying out the construction and proposals without the consent of all concerned members of the new Auto spare parts market association.

Aggrieved members are thereby using this medium to call on the Executive Governor of the state,a man with the people’s feelings at heart,Mr Willie Obiano and all other concerned parastatals to look into the issue and call Mr Elisius Ozokwere to order as the association is very ready to embark on a peaceful protest across the state,relevant offices and office of the Governor.

A Shop Owner/Landlord at the New Auto Spare parts market confirms the incident and emphasized on the association’s stand against dictatorship act of the Chairman. He also hint on possible legal action to be taken against all perpetrators of the evil act aligning with Mr Elisius Ozokwere should they refuse to retreat and follow due process.
